Intense Bee's Knees | Vintage Ginger Cocktails

This prohibition era drink is a classic gin, lemon and honey drink. This excellent rich, sweet, and refreshing classic is elevated with the addition of ginger. The three flavors are wonderfully complimented by the complexity of our ginger liqueur. The ginger adds a spice to the overall sweet drink, but adds to its sweetness and warmth. The ginger gives it just the right amount of intensity. Shake it up at your next party for an easily satisfied crowd.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Death's Door Spirits Gin
- .75 oz Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur
- .75 oz fresh lemon juice
- .5 oz honey syrup*
Instructions
- Preparation: Add all ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
- *Honey Syrup: Put equal parts Catskill Provisions Raw Wildflower Honey and water in a saucepan. Boil, then turn down to a simmer and stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
