The Irish Rivalry | Barrow's Intense Ginger Cocktails

This doozy of a cocktail is definitely a knockout. It is made with Teeling Whiskey Single-Grain Irish Whiskey, giving it a smooth feeling as well as adding notes of spice and fruit. These flavors are matched wonderfully with the spice and vanilla undertones of our Ginger Liqueur. Floral and pepperminty Absinthe Verte comes into play to bring a punch as well as a wonderful taste. The drink also calls for one sugar cube and bitters to add some sweetness and an enchanting scent. Add a final bit of sour and zest with a lemon peel garnish. This drink is strong yet wonderful to taste.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Teeling Whiskey Single-Grain Irish Whiskey (Ireland)
- .5 oz Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur
- 1 tsp Two James Spirits Nain Rouge Absinthe Verte (Michigan)
- 1 Sugar Cube
- 4 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
Instructions
- In a mixing glass, combine sugar, bitters, and a few drops of water.
- Mix until sugar is dissolved, and add whiskey and Barrow's Intense.
- Add plenty of ice and stir.
- Pour absinthe into a chilled cocktail glass, and rotate glass until the inside is well coated.
- Discard the excess.
- Strain the liquid from your mixing glass into the serving glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.
