The Lemony Ginger Sage Bush | Spring Cocktails

This breezy and light spring cocktail is made from the flavors of gin, lemon, and sage. It resembles elements of the lemon drop but it is more herbaceous and earthy. The lemon is elevated with the addition of both lemon juice and bitters, which pairs well with the slight bitter pine flavor of the gin. The ginger liqueur comes in with sweetness but also extra spice. The sage is the final touch, adding a note of mint and a slight peppery taste. The drink is decorated with fresh ginger and sage leaves.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz The Cotswolds Distillery Dry Gin
- 1/2 oz Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur
- 1/4 oz lemon juice
- 2 dashes lemon bitters
- 3 fresh sage leaves
- Garnish: fresh ginger & sage leaves
Instructions
- Muddle the sage leaves and lemon juice in a shaker
- Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice.
- Strain and serve up.
